advisement.com Attorney Directory — Master Terms of Service & Submission Agreement

Notice: By submitting your law firm profile, purchasing a tier, or requesting an editorial review on advisement.com (operated by Ricochet Agency, LLC), you agree to be bound by the following Master Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

1. Ownership & Governing Law

  • Platform Ownership: This website and directory are owned, operated, and managed by Ricochet Agency, LLC. References to “advisement.com,” “we,” “us,” or “our” refer to Ricochet Agency, LLC.

  • Governing Law & Jurisdiction: These Terms of Service, and any dispute or claim arising out of or related to them, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the internal laws of the State of Florida, without giving effect to any choice or conflict of law provision. Any legal suit, action, or proceeding arising out of these terms shall be instituted exclusively in the federal or state courts located within Florida, and you submit to the exclusive personal jurisdiction of such courts.

2. Listing Tiers, Processing Terms, & Pricing Changes

advisement.com offers multiple tiers for attorney and law firm directory listings. By selecting a tier, you acknowledge and agree to the following operational terms:

  • Free Tier:

    • Listings are submitted at no cost.

    • Subject to variable wait times for review.

    • advisement.com staff maintain full, sole discretion to approve or deny any free listing for any reason.

  • Paid & Promoted Tiers:

    • These are paid subscription or one-time fee tiers.

    • Listings appear on the site instantly upon submission and payment, pending a secondary compliance and quality review within 72 hours.

    • Payment guarantees placement processing and visibility features associated with the tier, not automatic permanent approval. We retain the absolute right to remove, suspend, or disapprove any listing that violates our guidelines, even after initial publication.

  • Reviewed Tier:

    • Includes a comprehensive editorial evaluation (conducted independently, with no guarantee of a positive rating or specific score).

    • Appears instantly upon submission, with the review completed under our strict editorial independence guidelines.

    • We reserve the right to refuse or remove any listing and/or review if the firm fails to meet our professional standards.

  • Pricing Changes & Modifications:

    • advisement.com and Ricochet Agency, LLC reserve the right at any time to adjust, change, increase, or implement new pricing structures, subscription fees, or tier features.

    • Price increases for ongoing subscriptions will become effective upon your next billing cycle following reasonable notice (via email or platform notification), and your continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

3. Independent Editorial Review Terms

  • Payment for Time and Editorial Resources Only: Payment for an advisement.com review covers solely the time, effort, and editorial resources required to conduct a thorough, independent evaluation of your firm. We do not guarantee a specific rating, score, or a positive review.

  • Editorial Independence: Our assessments are conducted objectively based on our established criteria. The outcome of the review—including star ratings, editorial commentary, and final conclusions—is entirely at the discretion of our review team and cannot be influenced or altered by financial compensation.

  • Comprehensive Assessment: Reviews take into account multiple factors, which may include professional standing, educational background, public client feedback, and simulated interactions or mystery shopping evaluations (where applicable).

4. Attorney-Specific Marketing & Compliance Disclaimers

  • State Bar Ethics & Compliance: You acknowledge that lawyer advertising is heavily regulated by state bar associations and professional responsibility codes. You represent and warrant that your profile, copy, badges, and use of advisement.com comply fully with all applicable ethics rules, advertising regulations, and bar requirements in every jurisdiction where you are licensed or where your listing targets. Neither advisement.com nor Ricochet Agency, LLC evaluates listings for compliance with individual state bar rules, and we assume zero liability for any ethics violations, bar complaints, or penalties you incur as a result of your listing.

  • Attorney Advertising Notice: Portions of advisement.com constitute attorney advertising under the ethical rules of certain jurisdictions. Prior results, reviews, or directory placements do not guarantee or predict a similar outcome with respect to any future legal matter.

  • Marketing Services Only (No Referral Fees): You acknowledge and agree that any fees paid to advisement.com or Ricochet Agency, LLC represent strictly flat compensation for advertising space, directory maintenance, technology access, and/or independent editorial evaluation services. Under no circumstances are fees shared with attorneys, nor do payments constitute legal referral fees, lead-generation percentages, or payment for securing clients.

  • Not a Law Firm or Referral Service: advisement.com is an independent informational directory and editorial review platform. We do not provide legal advice, representation, or formal lawyer referral services, and nothing on this site should be construed as the establishment of an attorney-client relationship between users and advisement.com.

5. No Guarantees, Warranties, & Limitation of Liability

  • As-Is Basis: The platform, directory services, and review processes are provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

  • No Guarantee of Results: advisement.com makes no guarantees, representations, or warranties regarding client acquisition, leads, phone calls, website traffic, financial return on investment, or specific business outcomes resulting from your listing or review.

  • Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, advisement.com, Ricochet Agency, LLC, its owners, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the directory, submission of listings, or editorial reviews.

6. Strict No-Refund Policy

  • All Sales Are Final: Refunds are expressly denied. No refunds, partial refunds, or credits will be issued whatsoever for any monies paid to advisement.com or Ricochet Agency, LLC for subscription fees, promotional placements, or editorial review services, regardless of whether your listing is ultimately approved, modified, disapproved, removed, or whether you choose to cancel your listing prematurely.

7. Indemnification Clause

  • Hold Harmless & Defense: You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless advisement.com, Ricochet Agency, LLC, and their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, and suppliers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys’ fees and state bar disciplinary defense costs) arising out of or relating to:

    • Your violation of these Terms of Service;

    • Any content, information, credentials, or marketing materials you submit, post, or transmit through the directory;

    • Any violation of state bar rules, codes of professional responsibility, or legal advertising laws by you or your firm;

    • Any legal malpractice, negligence, or misconduct claims brought against you by clients who found your firm through advisement.com.

8. Communications & Promotional Consent

  • Email and Marketing Authorization: By providing your email address and submitting a listing, you explicitly consent to receive transactional emails, platform updates, account notices, as well as marketing communications, special deals, partner programs, advertisements, and promotional offers from advisement.com, Ricochet Agency, LLC, and its select affiliates.

  • You may opt out of promotional marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link provided in those emails, though you will continue to receive critical transactional and account-related notices.

9. Unilateral Modification Right

  • Right to Update Terms: Ricochet Agency, LLC reserves the absolute right, at its sole discretion, to modify, amend, change, or update these Terms of Service at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the updated terms to advisement.com.

  • Acceptance of Changes: Your continued submission of information, maintenance of a listing, or use of the platform following the posting of revised terms means that you accept and agree to the changes. It is your responsibility to check this page periodically for updates.

10. User Representations & Warranties

By submitting your information, you make the following legal representations:

  • Accurate Credentials: You represent and warrant that you are a licensed attorney in good standing (or an authorized representative of a law firm) and that all information, credentials, practice areas, and bar numbers provided are accurate, current, and true.

  • Intellectual Property Grant: You grant advisement.com and Ricochet Agency, LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your firm’s name, logos, trademarks, text, and submitted media across our directory and promotional channels.
